About the Practitioner

ROBIN MILLS, Indiana State & Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, has twenty-one years experience in her field, including seven years experience in hospital-based massage programs.

My practice philosophy is that the body has a natural inclination towards self-healing, and that this healing should not be forced, but NURTURED. This is where I come in; creating an atmosphere of safety & support where you can relax, unwind & gain awareness of the areas in need of balance.Therapeutic massage & bodywork, encourage the natural healing response of your body to work more effectively without the harsh side effects of medication.

I have always had the inclination to help those suffering from  discomfort or compromised conditions. While traditional medicine is very important to health and healing, it often falls short in creating a nurturing personalized approach which honors the HUMAN ELEMENT. Massage and body work provides a direct and immediate sense of well-being, in turn creating an environment where healing can begin.

In addition to my education and credentials in massage and bodywork(see home page) I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Chicago. I am a very creative person with a love for the arts. During my free time I enjoy drawing, painting & jewelry design. Because of the relationship between bodywork, massage, emotions & the human condition I have an interest in Eastern Philosophy & Spirituality, which I think deepens my understanding of how bodywork works on the human being.

My husband and I share our lives with a German Shepherd-Husky mix & our cats.

I have been serving the communities of South-Indy & Greenwood since 2002, with massage & bodywork services. My experience includes working in the Rehab-Sports Medicine & Women's Health Service departments for Community Health Network & The Franciscan Alliance.
